Zach's practice focuses primarily on business, entertainment,
and intellectual property litigation. He regularly represents clients in cases involving breach of contract, fraud, unfair competition, copyright and/or trademark infringement, and misappropriation of trade secrets, among others. His clients range from investment funds, to internet marketing firms, to general contractors, to individual attorneys, photographers, and entrepreneurs.

Zach regularly appears in both federal and state trial courts throughout California, and has argued before the California Court of Appeal.

Representative cases that Zach has handled include:

 
obtaining summary judgment in United States District
Court on behalf of national graphics and marketing firm
on six-figure breach of contract claim brought by Chinese manufacturer;
 
achieving early dismissal of all claims in California
state court against New York-based film production
and distribution company in multi-district dispute over alleged bonus payments to its former president;
 
  securing dismissal of all claims, following multiple successful motions, on behalf of several defendants,
in real property dispute among family members;
 
  reaching favorable nuisance value settlement on behalf of international modeling agency that had been sued by former model for breach of contract, fraud, and immigration claims;  
  representing international music supply company in trade secrets and business tort action against former Chinese manufacturer;  
  representing record label in defense of copyright infringement case relating to critically acclaimed rap album;  
  representing owner of thoroughbred race horse bringing professional negligence and fraud claims against horse's trainer and veterinarian;  

Zach was named a 2008 and 2009 “Southern California Super Lawyer -- Rising Star” by Law & Politics and Los Angeles Magazine.

Zach serves on the Board of Directors of the California Young Lawyers Association, one of the governing bodies of the State Bar of California and the nation's largest association of young lawyers.

Zach received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2001 and is a 1996 graduate of Columbia University.
