Courtney practices as a general civil litigator, with an emphasis
on business, entertainment, and employment cases in state and federal court. Having represented both corporate and individual clients, Courtney’s recent state court practice includes preparing a breach of oral contract case for trial that her team won by a directed verdict on the first day of trial, and most recently, second-chairing a “bet the company” case, where her clients were awarded $258,000
in damages, attorneys’ fees, and costs.
Courtney is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. While in law school, Courtney clerked at
the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office and was published in Southwestern’s Law Journal. Courtney received her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School in 2007, where she was an active member of the Southwestern Law Journal and received the CALI “Excellence for the Future Award” in Interviewing, Counseling, and Negotiating.
